The Five Pillars Of Islam are the five main compulsory things a Muslim has to do when he/she is of age. The Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) said " Islam has been built on five pillars: Testify that there is no god but Allah, and that Mohammed (pbuh) is the messenger of Allah; performing prayers; paying dues to the poor; making pilgrimage to the house of Allah in Makkah; and fasting the month of Ramadan.
Iman-Shahadah-Faith
The word Iman means to believe, to put one's trust in something or someone. In this context it means putting your entire trust in Allah and the Prophet (pbuh). In Arabic you say: La ilaha illula mohummador rosoolulah

2.) Salat-Prayer
Salah really means to bow to Allah so that one does not feel superior in any way. Wudu must be performed before Salah; wudu is the key to acceptation of Salah. If you do not perform wudu your Salah may not count. But if you are mentally ill, pregnant or sick you do not have to pray. Another acceptation is if you are traveling 53 miles or more away from home. In this case you only have to pray two racket. Whatever the situation, you have to pray in the direction of the Kabah in Mecca. In big mosques an athan is called to call people to pray. Scroll down to learn how to pray

3.) Sawm-Fasting
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. This month offers a great opportunity to get reward. Prophet
Mohammad (pbuh) said "On the first night of Ramadan, all devils and the rebellious jinn are shackled, and all the gates of Hell are closed: none of them are left open. All the doors of Heaven are thrown open: none of them are left closed.
In Ramadan muslims fast all the way from sunrise to sunset. From first light to no light. According to the Qur'an there are two purposes of fasting. One is to make prudent in life, and the other is to make us thankful to Allah. During the fasts muslims become correct about there behaviour. They give time to the five daily prayers. They also spend more time recitation of the Qur'an and they give more to the poor. Fasting trains the individual to live their life on proper self-control in all aspects. The start of the fast is called Seheri and the breaking of the fast at sunset is called Iftar
Zakat-Charity
Zakat is also a form of worship. Muslims must give 2.5% of the wealth to the poor. It is a everlasting duty for a muslim to care for the poor and needy. Zakat funds are to be spent on the poor and homeless, the wayfarer; the bankrupt; needy converts and captives. Also it is used for general welfare of the community-for education of people, for public works and to any other need in a muslim community.
Hajj-Pilgrimage to Mecca
500 thousand years ago Prophet Ibrahim (alai) was ordered by Allah to build the Kabah in Mecca and call people to go on pilgrimage. Today following Prophet Ibrahim (alai) and Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) over two million people from all over the world come to Mecca and perform Hajj. The rites of Hajj include going around the Kabah seven times (tawaf), walk between the two hills called Safa and Marwa seven times. Then they visit Mina. Then they go to Arafat where Prophet Mohammad made his last Sermon known as Khutba Hajjatul Wida. On the way back from Arafat pilgrims stop at Muzdalifah for the night. Later on after reaching mina they offer sacrifice which include throwing pebbles and the stoning pillars representing Satan. All throughout pilgrims beg Allah to forgive them. One very important duty during hajj is wearing two pieces of unstitched clothing knows as Ihram (woman wear normal clothes). All pilgrims wear Ihram rich or poor, black or white so that everyone looks alike and no one can feel superior in any way. Unlike in mosques men and women pray together. This reminds muslims about how it will be on the day of judgment. Also when in Ihram, pilgrims must be correct in there behaviour. This list shows have they are not allowed to do.

All praise be to Allah, lord of the universe. The companionate, the merciful, master of the day of judgment. You alone we worship and to you alone we turn to for help. Guide to the strait path. The path of those who you have favoured. Not of those who have incurred your wrath nor of those who have gone astray.
This is the translation of surah-al-Fatiha. This video shows surah-al-Fatiha in Arabic. When reading Salah you must read in Arabic.
5.) Then add any surah from the Qur'an such as Surah-al Iklas:
Col hu Allahu ahad. Allahu samad. Lumulid, wa lum yulad, wa lumu kulahu qufowan ahad
Say: He is Allah who is one and only, Allah, the external, the absolute; he begot none, nor was he begotten. And there is none equal to him.
6.) Say Allahu Akbar and bend down placing your hands on your knees. Your body should be parallel to the ground. This posture is known as the ruku. When in ruku say: Subhanarbi allal athim( glory to my lord the most high) 3-5 times. Then rise to a standing position and say Samiallaho huliman hamidah, rabanah wala kal humd (Allah listens to those who praise him, our lord, to you belongs our praise.
7.) Saying Allahu Akbar (Allah is the greatest) touch your forehead to the ground with both palms on the ground as well. This position is known as sajda. Silently say, "Subhanana rabbiyal-a-la 3-5 times. Now go to a seated position with both caves on the ground
8.) Rise to the standing position. This completes one racket. Repeat steps 4-7 for how many racket you need to pray. After the first racket when you are on the ground you must recite the atahayatu: Atahayatu lilahi wa salawatu wa tayabatu asalamualaika ayyuunibiyya wa rhahmatullahi wa barakatu. Asalamu Alaina wa ala ibadalahis-salahin. Ashhaduan la ilaha illulahu wa ashudu ana muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluh. On the third racket you don't recite any short surah after Surah-al-Fatiha and if you have to pray 4 racket you rise strait back up from the seated position as you would on the first racket. 9.)On the last racket in the seated position, after you recite Atahayatu you recite the dorood sharif: Allahummah salli alla muhamadin wa ali ala muhamadin kama sallayita ala ibrahima wa ali ala ibrahima inika hamidum majid. Allahummah barik muhamadin wa ali ala muhamadin kama barika ala ibrahima wa ali ala ibrahima inika hamidum majid.
Meaning:
O Allah let your blessings come on Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Truly You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim, Truly You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.
10.) Recite: Allahummah inni zalamuntunafsi zalman kathira wa la yaghfirudh illah anta faghfirli maghfiratan min indika wa rhamni inaka antal ghafurur-rahim (Allah, I have been unjust to myself, to unjust. No one can grant pardon for my sins except you, so forgive me with your forgiveness and have mercy on me, for you are the forgiver, the merciful)
11.) Turn you head to the right so that the person behind you can see you cheek and say asalamukum wa ruhmutula repeat to the left. Your Salah is complete.

This table below shows the amount of rackat you have to pray for each prayer and here is a guide to the different types of prayer:
Fard: Prayers that must be complete at any cost. If one fails to do this they may do it after; this is called qaza. If someone denies it obligatory nature they may be classed as a non-believer and if someone abstains from it intentionally they can be classed as a transgressor
Sunnah: It is the prayer the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) used to offer daily without fail and he advised his followers to do so. Anyone who prays it will receive a huge reward from Allah. If you do not pray it there is no sin but you are missing a great reward if you do not pray what the Prophet (pbuh) encouraged.
Nafl: It is a voluntary prayer that you offer to uplift your soul and for the acquisition of spiritual benefits. There is a great reward in doing so. There is no sin if it is left out

Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) was the last prophet and the most beloved. He started his prophet hood on the night of power (lalal-al-qadr). This video explains the night of power.
One of the last ten nights of Ramadan could be Lalal-al-Qadr. Some hadiths and sources suggest exact dates but it is not confirmed.
